How We Turned Fashion Week Into a Content Machine (and Why It Worked)

Fashion week always looks very polished from the outside. But when you’re actually in it, it’s a completely different story fast, a bit chaotic, very creative, and full of small moments that most people never see. This year, we worked on content and PR for AKTO Art & Design College during Athens Fashion Week, and honestly, it felt more like being part of the process than just covering an event.

So what did we actually do?

We didn’t treat it like a one-day thing. From backstage prep to the runway, we were there capturing everything not just the “perfect” shots, but the real moments in between.

Designers getting ready, last-minute fixes, the energy before the show starts. That’s the kind of content people actually connect with.

The focus was simple

Make content that feels real. Not overly staged, not forced just honest, creative, and aligned with the vibe of the event. We worked on videos, photos, storytelling all built around showing the process, not just the final outcome.

Because in fashion, what happens behind the scenes is just as interesting as what ends up on the runway.

It wasn’t just content

At the same time, we were also thinking about visibility. How this content travels, who sees it, how it connects with people. So alongside production, there was PR, media coordination, and making sure everything had the reach it deserved.

What we took from this

Probably the biggest takeaway? Good content doesn’t just capture something; it keeps it going. It gives the whole experience a second life after the event is over.

And when everything clicks, it doesn’t just look good, it actually builds connection.
